Soletec
Soletec Systems head office is based in Wigston, Leicester, United Kingdom In 1992 the founder of Soletec Systems, pioneered the first CAD/CAM systems into the UK’s ‘NHS and private’ functional foot orthotic market place. By 1997 this company became the leading CAD/CAM orthotic manufacturing laboratory in the UK – working with and endorsed by most of the UK elite sports associations In 2003, the company approached Ecco footwear in Denmark - to do the first ever ‘trial’ of CAD/CAM technology on the high Street within their Kensington High Street store Soletec has also worked with a city investment group to establish a new retail chain - offering footwear and comfort ‘custom’ insoles on the high street – (similar to the trial in Ecco’s shoe shop in Kensington). Soletec commenced circa 2004 to do developmental work with Inescop Spain in regard to the futuristic Soletec systems. Soletec Systems now has many software partners and a pro active R&D support through Inescop’s R&D Institute in Elda, Spain and Bath, Loughborough, Valencia and Alicante Universities These partnerships enable Soletec to focus on the need for the complete ‘automated footwear and insole manufacturing system’ - for 'medical' and ‘retail’ purposes. The Soletec system software solution, is now utilised in Soletec’s own laboratory in Bath University, UK and in TPSP – Inescop’s commercial Laboratory in Elda, Spain. The system has also been demonstrated extensively in the USA to a leading foot health corporation and after trials will be placed widely into the US ‘Medical’ market.

CorusCorus has sponsored British Triathlon initially for two years. The sponsorship will invest in medal winning success at major events and will help address the competition needs of emerging elite triathletes. At a grassroots level, Corus will support a number of community-based initiatives including nationwide programmes to develop triathlon for school age children through ‘Corus Kids of Steel' and for athletes with a disability at a community level. Corus’ sponsorship will go towards helping all aspects of the sport, with the aim of developing strong future athletes at all levels through to the Elite. As part of the agreement a new series of televised elite events will be created in the UK in 2007 - known as the 'Corus Elite Series'. This series will provide triathletes with an opportunity to compete against some of the world- best competitors on home soil and will help raise the profile of triathlon. Corus sees triathlon as an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and their local communities by getting involved in sport and encouraging participation in triathlon.
